ARCH is delighted to announce that we are now offering a brand new group work programme to increase the range and types of support they offer for people affected by sexual violence and abuse.
The Recovery Toolkit is a 12-week course designed to support clients that have experienced sexual violence at any point in their lives. It is a trauma informed model which focuses on the present and supporting long term recovery without re-traumatising.
Delivered over two-hour sessions, the programme is evidence based with set weekly aims and includes sessions around building self-esteem, post-traumatic stress disorder, being assertive, and building healthy relationships and intimacy.
“We are delighted to be able to offer this group programme. It is an ideal follow on from our 1-1 counselling support and provides another option of support for people, who can gain positive benefits from working in a group setting. The group aims to equip them with additional coping strategies supporting people move forward from the trauma experienced through sexual violence”
