Working across Teesside, we have a vacant post within our Children and Young People’s service for a Children and Young People’s ISVA. You will deliver a pro-active service by providing independent, expert, quality support to predominately children and young people but also, if required, to men and women who have been affected by rape or sexual abuse within and outside the criminal justice system. This will involve a combination of emotional and practical support, outreach visits, pre-trial visits, as well as court support.
The successful candidate will have the skills and confidence to work closely with Police, Crown Prosecution Service and other relevant agencies, the ideal candidate will have experience of providing one-to-one support, managing a busy caseload, prioritising tasks, and will posses an excellent understanding of the impact of sexual violence and abuse.
